Warabi Mochi is one of our very favourite sweet places to visit. The food is consistently delicious- I especially love the strawberry macha drink, & black sesame mochi & icecream. The brown sugar shaved ice with red bean paste is the perfect summer treat. The mochi itself is super soft & beautifully prepared. Warabi mochi in Vic Park provides a peaceful, calm & comfortable escape from the hustle & bustle outside. They play gentle, relaxing music & visitors are usually quiet inside the store. The staff are always very welcoming, polite, helpful & friendly. There is lovely attention to detail in both the store & product design, & the way everything is presented - a beautiful deliberate mindfulness to create the feeling that you've been momentarily transported to Japan. If you're feeling in the mood for a little extra treat, there is a lovely wooden box that the mochi can be purchased in, which makes a useful & charming keepsake. We love this store very much & look forward to our next visit Thank you Warabi Mochi!

The mochi is soft and melts in the mouth. It is not sweet which makes it my favourite. Big thanks to the staff as I forgot my bag and came back after 20 minutes and it was still there. Highly recommend and this will be my favourite place next time.

As usual, we come every fortnight to get these melt in mouth mochis, unfortunately they didn’t give enough matcha onto the mochis! Must try the black sesame version! They have black sesame specials! Parking was fairly easy that day, arrived in the area just before midday. Tried the mochis by themselves, with ice cream, and the drinks. Their mochis do melt in our mouths as people said. My favourites were the macha mochi with ice cream and strawberry drink with mochi. Must try if you like mochis, anything chewy and not so sweet snacks.

Japanese culture, from ikebana and origami to architecture and cuisine, continues to shape how I live and appreciate beauty in the everyday. Yesterday, on my way home, I stumbled upon a little tea room called Kamakura. The charm of its minimalist design and nostalgic vibe instantly drew me in. I couldn’t resist treating myself, partly from curiosity, partly from love for all things Japanese. I ordered a roasted matcha iced tea and a box of black sesame mochi. The tea was refreshing, not overly sweet, and carried a deep, earthy aroma. The mochi was soft and delicately sweet, filled with that rich nutty flavour only black sesame can offer. My mum tried one and absolutely loved it. Kamakura beautifully blends traditional Japanese elements with a modern touch. Their signature trio of mochi: black sesame, kinako (soybean powder), and matcha, paired with a delicate green tea drink menu, offers a quiet yet flavorful experience. A hidden gem for those who seek gentle moments and authentic tastes. Thank you again for your memorable service, Perth team

Got a small mochi cup but my favourite is the strawberry milk with mochi, the taste is really fresh. Just a bit too expensive at $11.80 for a modestly sized medium drink.

We were just walking off dinner when we passed Kamakura Warabi-Mochi, and it instantly caught our eye – glad we decided to stop in! The staff were super friendly and helpful with their recommendations, which made the experience even better. We tried their signature strawberry drink – it was a bit on the sweeter side for our taste, but still a nice little treat. We also ordered two flavours of mochi, both of which were really enjoyable, especially paired with the ice cream which added a great contrast in texture and flavour. It definitely exceeded our expectations for mochi! The atmosphere was lovely – clean, calm, and thoughtfully styled to feel authentic and visually appealing. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!
